Vintage Opalescent Ribbed Glass Vase
Vintage Opalescent Ribbed Glass Vase
A superb stemmed opalescent ribbed art glass vase in jade green. This fabulous piece was acquired at an estate sale. I have yet to identify its maker but have narrowed it down to either Fenton or Stuben. Unfortunately, the estate was only able to provide me with the place of purchase which was in United States and the year was 1940s. What I can tell you is that the mouth of the vase is crenelated and the blown glass is very thin - a fine quality of art glass which is also an indicator of its age, today's glass is thick and heavy. The vase stands a little over 12 inches high and its diameter at its widest point is 17 inches. This lovely urn shape vase sits on a beautiful feminine opalescent stem, the diameter of the base is 4-1/4 inches. The inside of the vase has no calcification what so ever and it is in excellent condition - there are no chips or cracks. Also informed that this vase has been in a curio cabinet for many years and basically forgotten - I am hoping that you have the perfect spot for it in your home because it is absolutely stunning.
